OUR STORY

We didn’t want to forget.

Heartlisted started with a small handful of squiggles. Our kid has only just begun to draw, and we already knew we didn’t want to lose even these first messy ones. So we built the thing we wished already existed.

HOW IT BEGAN

It started with a squiggle.

Neither of us has the drawings we made as kids. They’re buried in our parents’ lofts somewhere, or long gone. We didn’t think much about that until our own little one started leaving squiggles all over the house.

It’s early days, so right now it’s mostly wobbly lines and big proud blobs of colour. Every one of them already feels like something, and we could see how easily these early ones slip away, stuck to the fridge for a week and then gone.

We didn’t want to wait until there was a pile to start keeping them. We wanted a way to hold onto it from the very first scribble. Not a folder in a cupboard, not a phone full of blurry photos. Something you’d actually want to sit down with. When we couldn’t find it, we made it.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

A few things we’re sure about.

A drawing is a moment.

It’s a tiny snapshot of who your kid was that week. That’s worth keeping, not clearing off the counter.

Keeping it should be easy.

You take a few photos and we handle the rest. No scrapbooking, no perfect handwriting, no guilt about the pile.

It belongs to everyone.

Grandparents, aunts, and one day the kid too. One book the whole family can hold, not a file only you can find.

THE BOOK

Made to be handled.

We obsess over the parts you can feel. The weight of the cover, the thick matte pages, the colours kept as close to the original as print allows. It should feel less like a print order and more like a real book that happens to be your kid’s.

FROM US

We’re building the thing we wish we’d had. A place for all of it to live, so one day our kid can see exactly how the world once looked, drawing by drawing.
